Welcome to Felicity Mara’s website. It presents a changing selection of her recent work. You can also view earlier paintings in the image archive.On the studio notes page you’ll find details of work in progress and recent projects, as well as information on galleries where you can find her work and on forthcoming shows. “I am very much an interior painter – I do not consciously choose what I paint but find that the forms in a painting emerge as I work. The landscapes in my paintings are places where I feel that I’ve been – in dream or memory, perhaps. Colour is very important to me – the clarity and space that appear in bright light, or equally qualities of twilight or darkness, in which forms take on a certain ambiguity.” studio notes
